Ponce is the second largest city in Puerto Rico. Ponce was founded in 1692. Ponce is located in the Southern Coastal plain region, south of "Adjuntas". The average temperature is 75 degrees. My mom always told me about Ponce and always explained how she would visit our family in this city. My mom would talk about how my grandmother use to work on the fields with her sisters.




Visiting Ponce was amazing. It felt as if i was home, i meet up with family I never seen before and saw this I never knew Puerto Rico had. The people at Ponce felt familiar like I had meet them before. My mom and grandmother told how they would like to come and show me more things. In the future, I feel like this is a place where I can live.

Puerto Rico

I remember in Puerto Rico a beautiful city called San Juan. The beach was amazing and the buildings were really old. The people from this state told me about how this was called the old city and these buildings were built hundreds of years ago. The city is the capital and was founded in 1521. There are 29 airports in Puerto Rico. The whether in Puerto Rico is the best, because it's always hot all year round. Puerto Rico's main sport is Baseball, and other common sports are boxing and basketball.

During my vacation I noticed Puerto Rico uses the United States money, other country's usually have there own money but Puerto Rico been a part of the United States since 1898 and Puerto Rican citizen have been United States citizens since 1917. Spaniards settled in Puerto Rico in 1493. They brought slaves from Africa to the fields.
